Who is DJ?

I am currently working on an Artist Bio. Until then let me introduce
myself. I was born and raised in Michigan. I have been involved in some
type of art form all my life. I have always been interested in stones and
fossils since I was a little girl. About 7 years ago I quit a high stress
corporate job and pursued a 3-year course of study in movement
re-education called the Alexander Technique. A living art form in itself!
I continued to search for something that would satisfy my creative drive.
About 6 years ago I was taught by a lovely teacher named Alice Turner how
to take a stone and turn it into a piece of jewelry. I have been hooked
ever since. Since that time I have learned from many artists and teachers
to whom I am forever grateful. My work has continued to evolve and change,
as I can’t seem to stay in one place for too long before something else
grabs my attention. There are just so many wonderful colors, textures and
components to work with!
About 5 years ago I began participating in Art Fairs to sell my
jewelry. Click here to see show schedule. I wanted a website developed to
serve as another alternative where people could purchase my work. I found
a wonderful web designer named
Larry Berman to work with and together we
developed this site. I have a sincere desire to make jewelry that woman
can enjoy. It is my hope that the jewelry I create speaks to each woman’s
internal sprit of adventure and will serve as one way to express that part
of her. |
